Our first night at Grizzly Creek Redwood State Park. We checked in when the sun was about to set. The place was so beautiful and quiet that you can hear the redwood trees whispering to each other.
In the morning.
Our second night at Cape Perpetua, Siuslaw National Forest. We got here pretty late as the sun started to set and we didn't talk any pictures. But we walked to the biggest Cypress tree in the dark with the flash light. We left the camp site early to get to Seaside, Oregon before noon.
Our third night at Circle Creek RV Resort in Seaside, Oregon. We just parked the RV. Didn't stay at this resort until after we completed the Hood to Coast relay.
Part of the team called Puffin All The Way, Van 2. Bob Sturgess, Bob Dunn, Eric Toth, Dan Floyd, Steve Sinkler and me. We just finished our first leg of the three legs we will each run.
Van 2 picture when we were all finished. Posing with our great driver Jennifer Toth.
Dan, Eric, me, Jennifer, Bob D., Bob S., and Steve.
At the beach with the whole team, left to right: Robert Hollar, Steve Sinkler, Bob Sturgess, Bob Dunn, Dan Floyd, Adam Johnson, Nick W., Aaron Schultz, Me, Eric Toth, Jennifer Toth, Emmas Lindsay, and Nick Rotunno.
We spent our fifth and sixth night at Seven Feathers Resort, Canyonville, Oregon.
This RV resort is manicured!
We spent two nights at this 10-10-10 rated resort. We even have time to take the free shuttle to the casino; and get laundry done.
On our way back to California and there was an 8,800 acre forrest fire west of Yreka.
We were in the fire smoke for over 1 hour on I-5.
As soon as we got south of Shasta we saw the end of the smoke and the beginning of the clear air.
We did not take any picture of the second and third RV resort on this trip, next time we will have to schedule at least 5 minutes for pictures.
Our next trip is the real test when we take the whole family: Bob, me, and Leo the kitty. Currently Leo is being trained to wear a kitty harness for 30 minutes a day and so far he is doing fine with it.
First day with the harness and he wasn't sure about it.
Second day with the harness for 1 hour.
